Last weekend I exercised my city driving skills and drove downtown for the first time in a while. I also went to a lesbian bar for the first time. Navigating my way around Baltimore wasn't too bad, although we got mildly lost and asked a nice restaurant employee for directions, which he gladly wrote down in detail. The mission of the night was Federal Hill, which is an older section of Baltimore that has a nice little strip of bars. Of course going there meant no parking garage, so I had to parallel park (I failed miserably). The rest of the night included but was not limited to: trying Sierra Nevada beer per a suggestion and realizing I wasn't a fan and stopping at a Hampton Inn at 3 a.m. so a certain someone could go the bathroom.
On Sunday (after sleeping until noon), I cooked up a storm and had some friends over for the the big game. Even though I'm obviously partial to Tom Brady and the Patriots, I'm pretty sure they would have played a more exciting game than Indy and Chicago.
